INTRODUCTION:

The Diploma for para professional in social workers is a two semester under graduate and post experience training programme which aims at developing advanced professional knowledge and skills necessary for efficient and effective management of human resources in the Civil Service and Public Sector in Sierra Leone. The undergraduate Diploma comprises of 9 modules: 3 Basic, 4 Core and 2 Electives. Participant may complete the whole course within two semesters of continuous study or by completing its modules within a period of two years.  The curriculum provides a broad range of theoretical, analytical and practical skills to develop and enhance social workers knowledge and skills.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT:

Three (3) WASSCE credits (or 3 G.C.E. ‘O’ Levels) or its equivalent or a complete professional qualification in a relevant discipline which provides foundation level knowledge appropriate to the proposed course plus  2 years working experience in the Civil Service and Public Sector.
