History of the College

Sierra Leone`s public and private institutions low capacity continues to be a constraint on the Government`s effectiveness in accelerating reforms and improvement in productivity. This capacity challenge does not only emanate from the lack of skills alone but the aptitudes and mind-set to get things done. To this end, the Government of Sierra Leone embarked on making serious efforts to address these challenges by seeking to develop a competent Civil/Public Service through several initiatives.It is against this background that the Civil Service Training College which has been in existence since the colonial era was resuscitated 2012 to provide training for the Civil/Public Servants as well as developing the capacity of staff that will ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery in the Civil Service and Public Sector with the aim of attracting and retaining the best and brightest staff in Sierra Leone.
